That spec is USB-C Power Delivery wattage, matched to what your device actually draws. A handheld pulling 30 watts while you play cannot charge from a 20-watt charger — it drains slower, but it still drains. Get the wattage right and everything else is detail; get it wrong and the most expensive power bank on the shelf will still leave you at zero. The thresholds are worth memorizing, because they are the whole decision. A Steam Deck needs at least 45W to charge while actively gaming. 5. INIU 20000mAh 65W — the budget pick
The INIU proves you do not need to spend flagship money for a capable handheld power bank. The cable nobody thinks about
The most common reason a capable charger underperforms is not the charger — it is the cable. USB-C cables are rated for different current and power ceilings, and a thin cable bundled with an old phone will silently cap a 100W charger at a fraction of its output. For any link above 60W, you need a cable rated for 5A, which almost always means one with an E-marker chip inside the connector. The device shows no error; it simply charges slowly, and buyers blame the charger or the bank. Buy one good E-marked cable, keep it with your handheld, and label it if you have a drawer full of look-alikes. It is the cheapest fix for the most frustrating charging problem, and it is invisible on every spec sheet involved.
