Resolution (720p / 1080p / 1200p)

Resolution is the number of pixels a screen shows, commonly 720p, 800p, 1080p, or 1200p on handhelds. It matters — but it is the spec marketing leans on hardest while nits, refresh, VRR, panel type, and PPI quietly decide more of the experience. Higher resolution also costs GPU power and battery to render natively, so on a modest chip a lower-resolution panel can mean a better-running game. Read resolution as one factor among several, not the headline it is sold as.
