How a handheld outputs video at all

Start with the part the box never explains. The marketing wants you to read "4K120" as a performance promise. It is not — no handheld APU renders modern games at 4K120. Where HDMI 2.1 genuinely helps is high-refresh output at lower resolutions: driving a 1080p or 1440p TV or monitor at 120Hz, which some lighter and emulated titles can actually feed. So treat HDMI 2.1 as useful headroom for the desktop, video, and high-refresh 1080p/1440p — not as a reason to expect 4K gaming the silicon cannot produce. PD passthrough wattage: the number that actually decides it
