BIOS
A BIOS is the low-level firmware built into certain consoles (the PlayStation line and others) that some emulators require to run accurately. It is copyrighted, and the only legitimate source is hardware you own; Handheld Verdict does not host, link, name, or explain how to obtain BIOS files, and our setup coverage assumes you are supplying your own from equipment you legally possess. We note where a system needs one so you know a device’s ceiling is gated on more than raw horsepower.
